What You'll Do Key Duties: Prepare and Maintain Anesthesia Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and check all anesthesia machines, monitors, and related equipment before each procedure, ensuring they are in safe and proper working order. Assist with IV Access and Monitoring: Under the direction of the anesthesia provider, assist with the placement of intravenous (IV) lines and the application of standard physiological monitors (ECG, pulse oximetry, NIBP, etc.). Stock and Manage Supplies: Maintain inventory, order, and stock all anesthesia supplies, medications, and disposable equipment in operating rooms and procedure areas. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required, preferred. Licensure/Certification: RQI Responder - must obtain within 90 days of hire, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Understands and practices the importance of proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering ability in order to meet supply and demand; some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.
