<p>Job Summary</p> <p>General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.</p> <p>Whether a specific satellite for a specific mission or a constellation of interconnected spacecraft, the GA-EMS Space Systems team is re-defining how customers can access the possibilities of space. GA-EMS offers modular and scalable satellite platforms backed with a history of operational flight experience to support defense, civil, commercial, and academic mission requirements.</p> <p>Our space systems team is looking for a System Integration Lab (SIL) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, integration, and testing of our hardware-in-the-loop simulation tools. The ideal candidate possesses a background that combines expertise in hardware and software design, along with system integration experience, to develop simulator solutions tailored for space system development and operations.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Space System Integration Lab Architect responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leading SIL development across programs to ensure program simulation hardware, and verification plans meet program statement of work, CDRLs, and requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Define SIL architecture, requirements, test tools, and support equipment required for conduct of SIL test activities through all stages of design integration, test and operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead development of engineering drawings to capture test SIL designs and configurations.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate the build, assembly, and installation of SIL equipment and harnesses.</p> </li><li> <p>Support development of SIL test scenarios, and support test plan and procedure development to ensure requirements are fully verified.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for delivery and training of spacecraft simulation tools to customer or payload provider organizations.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish collaborative work relationships with peers to ensure synergy across space, ground, and launch.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to define and inform SIL architecture. SE work products may include:</p> </li><li> <p>CONOPS</p> </li><li> <p>System Architecture</p> </li><li> <p>Requirements and Interface Control Documents</p> </li><li> <p>Mission and System Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Trade Studies</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to conduct of program design and readiness reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Opportunities will arise to support internal development and new business opportunities.</p> </li></ul> <p>We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.</p>
