<p>Financial Analyst- 20038840, 20045289 (Two positions, one application)</p> <p>Office of The Child Support establishes policies and guidelines for the child support program based on federal and state laws. Ohio's child support program provides services to help ensure that children receive the financial and medical support they are legally entitled to and deserve. Lean more about the office by visiting Job and Family Services - Office of Child Support website.</p> <p>Working Title: Financial Analyst</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Day-to-Day you will:</p> <ul> <li>Balance financial transactions in child support financial accounts, Child Support Payment Central's (CSPC) vendor application used to process payments, as well as the statewide child support application known as the Support Enforcement Tracking System (SETS). </li><li>Review various reports in Access databases, Excel spreadsheets and in the above systems. </li><li>Identify and review financial discrepancies. Once identified, take necessary actions to ensure that our bank accounts balance. </li><li>Collaborate with internal child support teams, other ODJFS program areas, external partners such as the Child Support Payment Central (CSPC vendor), financial institutions, and other state agencies to identify and resolve financial discrepancies and ensure accurate processing of payments. </li><li>Necessary Skills: </li><li>Basic accounting principles </li><li>Knowledge of double-entry system </li><li>Debit /credit rules </li><li>Ability to compile and sort data </li><li>Analyze multiple data sets </li><li>Critical thinking and problem solving </li><li>Proficient in Excel spreadsheets </li><li>Familiarity with working in databases, specifically Access and SQL </li></ul> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm</p> <p>Travel: Travel required, as needed. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $25.77 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year.
