Your best is waiting to be discovered.</p> <p>Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The PEMS Manager will oversee the operations of the Patient Equipment Management Services (PEMS) department, ensuring effective daily operations of the hospital's patient and equipment transportation department, including safe and efficient movement of patients within the facility. provision, cleaning, and maintenance of patient equipment across various hospital departments, including inpatient nursing units, ICUs, and the emergency department. This role involves managing a team of PEMS Technicians, fostering strong relationships with key client stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of patient care and equipment functionality.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Lead and supervise the PEMS team, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and HIPAA standards. </li><li>Harbor and strengthen lasting professional relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor with a customer service focus. </li><li>Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. </li><li>Ensure employees demonstrate an active customer focus toward clients and patients, fostering a culture of exceptional service. </li><li>Analyze patient satisfaction data and financial results, implementing solutions to achieve desired outcomes. </li><li>Direct Patient Transport, PEMS, and SRC operations while championing the needs of patients and their families. </li><li>Monitor and maintain inventory levels of equipment and supplies, ensuring timely requests and deliveries. </li><li>Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments to address equipment needs and resolve issues promptly. </li><li>Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for PEMS staff to enhance skills and ensure adherence to best practices. </li><li>Address customer service complaints and escalate issues to management as necessary. </li><li>Ensure that all PEMS work areas are organized, safe, and compliant with health regulations. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent </li><li>Bachelor's degree in facilities management, healthcare administration, or related field preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in equipment management or a related healthcare role </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of management or supervisory experience in related field. </li><li>Experience facility or transportation services within a healthcare setting. </li></ul> <p>License:</p> <ul> <li>Current American Heart Association BLS Certification </li><li>Current CDL </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of hospital transport equipment and their uses. </li><li>Knowledge of hospital patient transport safety protocols, quality standards and methods. </li><li>Skilled in various methods of written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Skilled in problem-solving, with the capacity to grasp situations in a rapidly changing environment and provide effective solutions. </li><li>Ability to teach others on OSHA, TJC, and related Title 22 standards. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain strong client and employee relationships. </li><li>Ability to develop and motivate a team to exceed client expectations. </li><li>Ability to operate and maintain transportation equipment as needed. </li><li>Ability to analyze data and translate information into meaningful reporting and dashboards. </li><li>Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving equipment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demand and Working Conditions</p> <p>The work involves considerable physical exertion such as frequent lifting of equipment, bending and stooping, and walking. The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working with risk of exposure to contagious disease, radiation or infection, or working with emotionally disturbed patients. Precautions are routine for nearly all situations. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.</p>
