Learn more about us at worcester.edu/about .</p> <p>Job Description: Department: Student Center Operations Job Title: Food Pantry Support Staff Number of Vacancies: 4 SSTA Supervisor: Christine Pulsifer Position Type: Non-Supervisory Number of Hours Per Week: 5</p> <p>General Statement of Duties: The student staff position requires IN-PERSON responsibilities and will assist in the general management of the food pantry. This role in the food pantry will help to provide food to students that are in need.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Provide a welcoming, safe and confidential environment for students and individuals</p> <p>Assist individuals as they enter the pantry in locating food and answer any questions they might have about the pantry's services</p> <p>Be aware and knowledgeable of other resources and assist students in accessing those resources, including SNAP benefits</p> <p>Inventory the amount of food that is donated, and taken out</p> <p>Stock and replenish donated food to appropriate shelves</p> <p>Keep pantry clean and well organized</p> <p>Oversee volunteers around tasks related to the food pantry</p> <p>Adhere to food pantry policies and procedures</p> <p>Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.</p> <p>Requirements: Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must have computer experience and assist visitors with completing a form if needed. </li><li>Great Customer Service Skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Information: Worcester State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer which seeks to reflect the diversity of its community.</p> <ul> <li>This position is available for WSU students only* </li></ul> <p>Hourly Rate: $15.00</p> <p>Application Instructions: Students must apply online.
