<p>Overview</p> <p>The Program Finance department serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.</p> <p>This Financial Analyst position, located at the Groton Shipyard Facility, supports the VIRGINIA Construction Program Finance team.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Performance measurement and variance analysis; including Cost Account Plans </li><li>Communication with Cost Account Managers and department Directors </li><li>Budget development and maintenance </li><li>Estimate at Complete review </li><li>Create and update daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports </li><li>Manpower Plan and Operating Plan development </li><li>Input to Finance Systems for Indicated Profit, Sales Orders and Backlog </li><li>Bi-weekly construction progressing </li><li>Preparation of billing instructions for submittal to Cash Management </li><li>Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers </li><li>Shop Order control </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics/Analysis </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of related experience </li><li>Prior Electric Boat experience/internship </li><li>Earned Value Management experience </li><li>Experience in Government contract cost control </li><li>Experience with EB Systems (Mainframe, MRPII, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle) </li><li>Experience reporting and analyzing financial data </li><li>Experience with Power BI </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint </li><li>Must be interested in and capable of analyzing large sets of data with minimal supervision </li><li>Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with others </li></ul>
