<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity this summer to join our team as a ACE Mentor Program Project Engineer Intern! This role is designed for high schoolers to gain exposure specific to a Project Management position.</p> <p>Additionally, this role will gain insight into additional opportunities available in the construction industry.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Jobsite experience will be limited to interns that are over the age of 18.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interest in a career in the construction industry.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work at least 20 hours per week in-person.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to commute to our Denver office.</p> </li><li> <p>Working toward a high school diploma.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Show a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Self-motivated</p> </li><li> <p>Eager to work with a project team and learn about the construction industry</p> </li></ul> <p>Eligibility:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be authorized to work in the U.S.</p> </li><li> <p>Certain positions and locations require Covid-19 vaccination, subject to reasonable accommodations for valid medical or sincerely held religious reasons.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>The hourly rate is $15-$17/hr. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
