Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Honors Student Programs and Undergraduate Research, the coordinator serves as the front line of communication and support for both prospective and current students seeking to become involved with the Honors College or undergraduate research opportunities. Our employees benefit from a collaborative community, cutting-edge research opportunities, and outstanding resources.</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serves as the main point of contact for prospective, incoming, and current Honors College and undergraduate research inquiries. Manages the Honors College and Undergraduate Research email inboxes by responding to inquiry emails and phone calls. Maintains regular walk-in hours for drop-in meetings with current and prospective students. Processes incoming student applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides advising and guidance for students engaged in Honors and/or undergraduate research. Collaborates with academic advisors to ensure completion of curricular requirements toward a certificate or distinction in undergraduate research.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the university's platform for tracking student inquiries and completion of curricular and co-curricular Honors and research badging opportunities, such as Suitable.</p> </li><li> <p>Track completion of Honors by Contract courses to coordinate Honors course designation with Registrar's Office.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in planning of educational and social engagement events for prospective and current students.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides support for the undergraduate research initiative by assisting with event planning and execution such as Demo Days, symposia, writing workshops, informational sessions, faculty and student mixers, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the main point of contact and hiring liaison for the federal work study research assistantship program. Will coordinate with Human Resources to create PINs, post positions, and delegate timesheets to campus partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and maintains the undergraduate research social media presence and creates content in line with university brand guidelines. Regularly updates departmental website and recruiting materials in collaboration with Marketing Communications.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides mentorship and direction to the Student Honors Council.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains faculty research interest database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.</p> </li><li> <p>Teaches Honors seminar courses as needed, up to two sections per semester</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two (2) years of related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Proficient in written and oral communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team. Work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and deadlines.
