The company employs 365,000 people and ranks #3 in Fortune's 500 Most Admired Companies.</p> <p>The role will have technical responsibility for the coordination and execution of projects involving cell testing, cell characterization and technical support for the alkaline formulation team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The senior researcher will:</p> <ul> <li>Assist a cell designer with formulation design for AA, AAA, C and D cells to support initiatives, cost savings, and quality improvement. </li><li>Collect, analyze, and draw meaningful conclusions from large amounts of cell test data using statistical tools such as JMP. </li><li>Design robust experimental plans using sound statistical methods. </li><li>Partner with manufacturing engineering teams on project delivery requirements. </li><li>Produce updates in the form of technical reports or presentations for project teams or for peer reviews </li><li>Assist Product Design and Process Engineers with trials that run in manufacturing locations. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Data Handling</p> </li><li> <p>Able to collect, organize, and report data for PD team members</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of statistical analysis of test data</p> </li><li> <p>Can draw insights from data</p> </li><li> <p>Cell testing</p> </li><li> <p>Can pre-test inspections including dimensions, voltage, impedance</p> </li><li> <p>Can use powered and hand tools to perform post-mortem tear down and failure analysis of tested cells</p> </li><li> <p>Preparation of prototype cells for technical and consumer tests:</p> </li><li> <p>Able to fabricate cell components such as electrodes, separators and current collectors</p> </li><li> <p>Can assist with bench or pilot scale cell builds</p> </li><li> <p>Can learn to set up and troubleshoot cell assembly equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Communication:</p> </li><li> <p>Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated capability to create clear, accurate, written reports</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to present findings to audiences including senior leaders</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solving, organizational skill</p> </li><li> <p>Strong sense of ownership</p> </li></ul> <p>Duracell is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of high-performance alkaline batteries, complemented by a portfolio of high quality, market leading specialty, rechargeable and professional batteries.
