<p>Fire Wall / Door Life Safety Inspector</p> <p>Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a candidate to join our Team that is detail oriented and has strong architectural skillsets to conduct the annual Fire Wall / Door Life Safety Inspections at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE for the DuPont FS&RE Function.</p> <p>Scope of Work:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect every Fire Wall per print in every building based on the annual schedule provided by FLS group </li><li>Inspect both sides of the wall, top to bottom (including above all ceiling tiles) </li><li>Document all findings on print. </li><li>Inspect every Fire Door in every building based on the annual schedule provided by FLS group and document findings. </li><li>While completing inspections, any open penetrations, no larger than 1"x1", will be repaired using proper materials. </li><li>Findings will be formalized in a written document and given to FLS group before the end of every month. </li></ul> <p>Repairs to made utilizing the following material(s) purchased by DuPont:</p> <ul> <li>Hilti caulk that is rated for firewall rating (each wall has a fire rating such as 2-hour or 3-hour) </li><li>3M or Hilti fire rated wool to be used for packing small areas </li><li>Hilti or 3M fire rated putting for firewall rating </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Background Check </li><li>Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Pre-hire physical required </li><li>Follows safe work practices. </li><li>Perform quality work. </li><li>Exhibit good judgment, problem solving, high ethical standards, good oral and written communication skills, comply with procedures and mandated rules and regulations. </li><li>Proficient in completing paperwork related to the job/project </li><li>Works Safely, efficiently and effectively </li><li>Read Blueprints & Mark-up of blueprint </li><li>Climb a ladder </li><li>Basic materials of construction understanding (understanding of wall materials) </li><li>Understanding of what a fire wall should be </li><li>Knowledge of what materials should be utilized for any repair work </li><li>Capable of lifting 50 LBS. </li></ul>
