<p>POSITION TITLE: .5 PreK Paraprofessional</p> <p>LOCATION: Doyle Early Childhood Center</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Paraprofessional will support classroom teachers in implementing instructional and developmental activities for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities include assisting with student learning, personal care, and social-emotional development under the supervision of the classroom teacher.</p> <p>SALARY RANGE:</p> <p>Commensurate with Unit C salary scale (Step 1: $27.63 per hour; Step 10: $33.10 per hour)</p> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Erin Manzi, Principal, Doyle Early Childhood Center</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support toileting needs, including diapering and toilet training </li><li>Experience working successfully with young children, preferably in a preschool setting </li><li>Evidence of positive rapport with students, colleagues, and families </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>PERSONAL QUALITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented </li><li>Flexible, patient, and sensitive to diverse student needs </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist teachers with classroom instruction and activities </li><li>Support students in inclusion settings and individual learning needs </li><li>Implement accommodations outlined in IEPs </li><li>Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, and social-emotional support </li><li>Observe, chart, and document student progress </li><li>Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Position is in an integrated preschool classroom.
