We invite you to learn more about our strategic plan, core priorities and the SPS portrait of a graduate on our website at https://salemk12.org/.</p> <p>Schedule: Teachers will be responsible for teaching a 4-week curriculum (6/30-7/24)</p> <p>Days: Monday- Thursday</p> <p>Teacher Hours, 7:45- 12:15 PM</p> <p>Student Hours: 8:00-12:00 PM</p> <ul> <li>Week One: June 30th - July 3rd </li><li>Week Two: July 7th- July 10th </li><li>Week Three: July 14th - July 18th (4 days) </li><li>Week Four: July 21st- July 24th (4days) </li></ul> <p>Application Due Date: Open until filled (7 Teachers & 1 site coordinator)</p> <p>Budget Stipend: $3,500 for the full attendance and program commitment</p> <p>(Stipend includes pre-planning time, staff meetings, family communication and curriculum planning)</p> <p>The following subjects will be offered in a 4-week of curriculum</p> <ul> <li>Alg 1, Alg II, Geometry </li><li>Biology and Chemistry </li><li>ELA (9-12) </li></ul> <p>Expectations & Responsibilities :</p> <ul> <li>Teachers will be responsible for attending one curriculum planning meeting to be scheduled before the last day of school (6/20/25). </li><li>Teach using the curriculum and other appropriate learning activities reflecting a deep understanding of the state standards for courses. </li><li>Use student data to plan supportive instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners including multilingual learners and students with IEPs. </li><li>Provide structure in the classroom by promoting a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning. </li><li>Hold high expectations for student learning (and behavior) and provide support to help students get there. </li><li>Maintain effective and regular communication with all students and their families to support students' attendance and progress. Students are expected to attend the full length of the program with a maximum of two absences. </li><li>Provide students with regular feedback and support needed to successfully accomplish the grade-level tasks. </li><li>Participate in student progress monitoring meetings with NYA coordinator </li><li>Submit grades to the NYA Facilitator by 2 pm on July 24th </li></ul> <p>Site Coordinator: (1)</p> <p>Prior to the program:</p> <ul> <li>The site coordinator oversees student registration and enrollment, which includes family and student communication. Support in the staff hiring process and ordering of materials for their program. </li><li>Communication transportation route to families. Complete food service required training and program requirements. </li><li>Work collaboratively with school and district administration to plan program and assigning student groups </li><li>Attend the final district wide summer planning meeting on June 17th 12:30-1:30 </li><li>Connect with building facilities to identify spaces/ rooms for courses. </li></ul> <p>During Program:</p> <ul> <li>Communicate with both the transportation and food services departments as needed. </li><li>Monitor and track student attendance, and communicate with families. </li><li>Supervise program teacher hours and development of a sign in tracker to track attendance, coordinating teacher coverage as needed </li><li>Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program and for ensuring a positive and learning experience for all students. </li><li>Report incidents to onsite building administration and/or Director of Extended Academics & Enrichment Services as needed </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> <p>We are looking for candidates who have diverse backgrounds and experiences, are inspired by our mission and are highly motivated to change children's lives through education.
