<p>OCI operates millions of compute instances, including BMs and VMs, at scale. These instances occasionally require maintenance for reasons such as hardware faults, performance degradation, firmware upgrade and more. A typical instance maintenance often involves shutting down the affected host, or moving the customer instance from the affected host to another host, which can lead to downtime. Hence, to ensure minimum disruptions and maintain high availability for customers' workloads, the Compute Instance Maintenance Management (CIMM) services are designed to orchestrate and automate the entire compute maintenance lifecycle. By intelligently scheduling maintenance tasks and facilitating both preventive and remediable maintenance actions, CIMM ensures reduced customer downtime and enhances operational efficiency across compute fleet.</p> <p>Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
