<p>The Small Equipment Repair Specialist is responsible for the inspection of, cleaning, repair, and condition testing for small dental equipment which could include sterilizers and handpieces. These items are fully restored on site and returned to each customer in a like-new condition.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.</p> <p>Repair Dental Items to include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Read schematics and diagrams</p> </li><li> <p>Disassemble and clean items</p> </li><li> <p>Repair and test to ensure items meet specification</p> </li><li> <p>Use of hand tools to evaluate and repair</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in identifying items that need to be sent to manufactures for repair</p> </li></ul> <p>Inventory Control to include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitor inventory levels and request parts stock</p> </li><li> <p>Transfer parts between warehouses to complete repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Increase/decrease stock levels based on usage</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct annual physical inventory, as well as regular spot checks</p> </li></ul> <p>Communication to include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Contact manufactures for repair assistance or part inquiries</p> </li><li> <p>Articulate repair situations and findings with customers</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize other team members for repair assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with customer experience coordinators to create customer repair estimates</p> </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills to include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Utilize Microsoft Office products to track repair information</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient typing skills are necessary</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a mechanical aptitude</p> </li><li> <p>Expresses strong customer service orientation through excellent written and verbal/phone communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and understand assembly drawing and instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Uses technology with efficiency and possesses basic computer skills, including knowledge in Microsoft 365/MS Office</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to positively contribute to the team environment by taking initiative to learn and improve upon skillsets</p> </li><li> <p>Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate degree or equivalent trade school completion</p> </li><li> <p>Previous repair experience or customer service experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 90 pounds onto workbench up to 4 times per day.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to operate hand tools, including drills and buffers.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to position self to repair equipment, sitting or standing for extended periods of time</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity</p> </li></ul> <p>Environmental Factors</p> <ul> <li> <p>This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building's primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires light to moderate exposure to biohazards (blood-borne pathogens)</p> </li></ul> <p>The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $16.54 - $20.29</p>
