<p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Supports the teacher in the instruction of children; • Supports in the presentation of activity plans; • Supports in creation and maintenance of a safe and stimulating student environment; • Supports in supervising children in play and developmentally age-appropriate activities; • Assists in the preparation of records and reports; • Participates in collecting evidence for student assessment; Desired Results Developmental Profile - Revised (DRDP-R) data and/or data entry; • Maintains positive and professional working relationships with support staff, parents, and the community; • Attends meetings as applicable; • Reads SBCSS emails regularly to receive pertinent information; • Performs related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working with preschoolers or infants/toddlers (paid or volunteer), including caring for one's own children, volunteering in a classroom setting, babysitting, or other childcare, and/or supervising child activities (this experience must be shown on your application and/or attachments); • Possession of a valid California Child Development Assistant Permit - OR - completion in an ROP Childcare Occupations or similar ROP program - OR - six (6) units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD). NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed EDJOIN application (incomplete applications will not be accepted); • Copy of valid California Child Development Assistant Permit - OR - ROP Certificate of Completion - OR - transcripts verifying applicable units; • One (1) current letter of reference (dated and signed within 3 years).
