<p>COLLEGE COACH Summer Internship: Pulmonary Clinic Admin Intern</p> <p>Who we are</p> <p>Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) is currently ranked as the #1 children's hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. It provides comprehensive and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents and is a leader in pediatric research, contributing to significant advancements in medical science. BCH also offers a specialized programs and services, including cariology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and plays a key role in training the future pediatric healthcare professionals. BCH's family-centered care emphasizes a holistic approach, providing extensive support services for families so they have comprehensive care and support through their medical journey.</p> <p>The opportunity</p> <p>The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.</p> <p>In the pulmonary clinic we see a variety of patients with different breathing issues and chronic illnesses. Our clinic is multidisciplinary so we have other specialists embedded in our clinic including dietitians, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, to name a few.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Admin help: this position would help on the administrative side of our operation, and will help with QI projects to improve post go-live efficiency. Responsibilities include uploading fax pdfs into chart, tracking volume, etc</p> </li><li> <p>This role will give insight to various administrative tasks in a very busy clinic</p> </li><li> <p>This position is fully onsite</p> </li></ul> <p>What you'll get</p> <p>Intern will have learned about clinic flow, interaction between providers (internal and external), insurances, pharmacies, and how various teams work together (admin, nursing, support staff such as PT, etc)</p> <p>Who you are</p> <ul> <li> <p>You are an undergraduate college student interested working in healthcare</p> </li><li> <p>Intern should be reliable, professional, kind and sensitive to patient's needs (we have many patients on contact precautions). Once instructions are given, intern should be able to prioritize which tasks should be handled first.</p> </li></ul> <p>Recruitment process</p> <ul> <li> <p>Offer decision: We will follow up within one week of your interview.</p> </li><li> <p>Onboarding: Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program.</p> </li><li></li></ul>
