The LPN works under the supervision of the RN or provider and contributes to a respectful, stigma-free environment for recovery.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer oral and injectable medications per provider orders and NYS scope of practice. </li><li>Perform point-of-care testing (urine toxicology, glucose, pregnancy tests, etc.). </li><li>Collect vitals and document signs and symptoms of withdrawal. </li><li>Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RN or provider. </li><li>Prepare medication doses and maintain controlled substance inventory logs per regulatory requirements. </li><li>Assist with patient education and support harm reduction strategies. </li><li>Participate in clinic safety procedures, emergency drills, and incident documentation. </li><li>Maintain professional documentation in the EMR. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. </li><li>CPR certification required. </li><li>Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or community health preferred. </li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to work sensitively with individuals experiencing stigma, trauma, or active recovery challenges. </li></ul>
