<p>The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Maintenance Worker to support the maintenance and enhancement of our beautiful oceanfront areas.</p> <p>This position assists a team responsible for maintaining and improving oceanfront facilities and public spaces. Duties include brick paver repair, pressure washing of the boardwalk and benches, maintaining City-owned facilities, and supporting special events. The role may also assist other teams as operational needs require.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with brick paver repair and replacement </li><li>Perform pressure washing of boardwalks, benches, and other public areas </li><li>Conduct general carpentry and commercial building maintenance </li><li>Maintain and repair commercial doors and windows </li><li>Set up and break down equipment for special events </li><li>Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition </li><li>Support other maintenance teams as needed </li><li>Complete basic record keeping and documentation </li><li>Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents and visitors </li><li>Follow directives and work effectively as part of a team </li></ul> <p>The City of Virginia Beach provides a generous comprehensive compensation package including annual and sick leave, paid holidays, as well as life, dental and health insurance.
