<p>For immediate consideration, book time to meet with me using this link!! https://talentassistant.actalentservices.com/assistant/bookings/-ivLiNgI</p> <p>Job Title: Estimator</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to prepare complete and accurate estimates and budgets for various contract types, including lump sum and time and material, for mid to high-rise residential or commercial office projects in Stamford, CT.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities. </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. </li><li>Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits. </li><li>Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work; accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value. </li><li>Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications, contract Statements of Work, and Bid Invitations. </li><li>Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, considering general and special conditions. </li><li>Prepare scope specifications and requirements; input project schedules; perform quantity takeoffs; prepare cost summary sheets; and input quantities into estimating software. </li><li>Maintain an accurate, current database of cost codes/accounts for historical data. </li><li>Utilize appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>4-year degree in building construction, engineering, or a construction-related field. </li><li>7-10 years of related estimating experience. </li><li>Advanced project estimator skills, including value engineering calculations and familiarity with engineering nomenclature. </li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to read, understand, and organize construction plans and specifications. </li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in project management, construction, change orders, real estate, multifamily, apartment buildings, general contracting, construction management, commercial construction, real estate development, preconstruction, estimation, estimating software, and bidding. </li><li>OSHA 30 certification. </li><li>Familiarity with site development, safety, tenant improvement, ground-up construction, leasing, and property management. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is an in-person position located in Stamford, CT. The work schedule is from 8 am to 6 pm onsite. The position offers a competitive salary with the potential for a bonus.
