<p>Description</p> <p>Job Title: Jr./Mid level Java/Python/OOP Developer</p> <p>Duration: 18 Month W2 Contract</p> <p>Location: New York City | Jersey City</p> <p>Required Pay Scale: $55-$65/hour</p> <p>Data Management or QA - Data Engineer:</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>A background in Data Engineering </li></ul> <p>o Preferably from a major financial institution</p> <ul> <li>BA in CS or Engineering </li></ul> <p>o With preference given to Advanced Degrees</p> <ul> <li>Experience coding in Java/Python/OOPs </li></ul> <p>o Specifically: Intermediate -> Advanced coding in Java/Python or any other OOP and Basic -> Intermediate SQL experience or Kafka/Middleware Event processing experience</p> <p>Roles and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Interpreting Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) </li><li>Communicating with stakeholders to determine accuracy of testing requirements </li><li>Communicating with developers to keep them abreast of testing work and problems uncovered </li><li>Investigating issues in our trading stack using SQL/Kafka/Java to diagnose the loci of the issues and subsequently communicating with teams needed to fix issues as they arise </li><li>Keeping track of issues identified using JIRA and multiple databases (MYSQL/Oracle) </li></ul> <p>Nice to haves:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of FIX protocol </li><li>CAT/OATS </li><li>Financial Knowledge </li><li>Experience presenting results in a group setting while adhering to industry best practices </li></ul> <p>About Matlen Silver</p> <p>Experience Matters.
