We're looking for a proactive and strategic IT Manager to lead our internal IT operations and tech partnerships.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure and external services. This includes managing our System Administrator for internal support and coordinating with external MSP partners to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of our render farm environment, full tech stack and cloud-based systems. This role requires a mix of technical leadership, vendor management, and strategic planning to support a high-demand, fast-paced creative environment.</p> <p>Additionally, the IT Manager is a key technical partner for our Development and Innovation Teams, supporting projects that explore cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Augmented & Virtual Reality (AR/VR). The ideal candidate is forward-thinking and capable of aligning infrastructure with experimental and high-performance computing needs, enabling our teams to innovate without limits.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Team Leadership: </li></ul> <p>Supervise and mentor our System Administrator who is responsible for tickets, remote workstations, servers, networking, FTP, VPN and cloud storage.</p> <ul> <li>MSP Coordination: </li></ul> <p>Manage relationship with our external MSP to ensure timely support, project delivery, and SLA compliance.</p> <ul> <li>Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee IT infrastructure including network architecture, server environments, virtual machines, and cloud services. </li><li>Production Workflow Support: Ensure IT systems meet the performance requirements for rendering, asset management, and collaborative tools used by our artists and developers worldwide. </li><li>Innovation Enablement: Support cross-functional teams working on AI, machine learning, AR/VR, and other advanced technologies by provisioning high-performance resources and enabling agile development environments. </li><li>Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including firewalls, access controls, patching, and data protection policies. </li><li>Budgeting & Procurement: Plan and manage IT budgets, procurement of hardware/software, and license management. </li><li>Disaster Recovery & Backup: </li></ul> <p>Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term IT strategy aligned with company growth and evolving tech needs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar leadership role in a development, creative or production environment. </li><li>Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), server administration (Windows/Linux), storage solutions (NAS/SAN), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). </li><li>Familiarity with 3D production pipelines and tools (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, etc.) is a strong plus. </li><li>Development skillset to include </li><li>Experience managing external vendors or MSPs. </li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell). </li><li>Understanding of render farm technologies and pipeline integrations. </li><li>Experience with ITIL practices and service desk workflows. </li><li>Certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>This remote position is based from our corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL </li><li>Occasional travel to meetings in person in Tampa, FL may be required </li><li>Travel to our Co-lo location in Tampa, FL for server maintenance and normal workflow of the position is required as necessary. </li><li>This position requires "On Call" job functionality that may occur outside of normal business hours to maintain our virtual environments, support remote teams, protect security of our systems and maintain client connectivity. </li><li>This position requires working at a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time, in your own home office or secure co-lo server environments. </li><li>Software & Equipment will be provided.
