<p>The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a faculty member for the 2025-26 academic year for a one-year, full time (non-tenure track) Instructor/Assistant Professor position. The department is especially interested in applicants with expertise in statistics, data science or a related field, but applicants with expertise in any area of mathematics will be considered. The faculty member will be expected to teach a full course load, advise students, participate in department meetings, hold regular office hours, and adhere to all other expectations of a full-time faculty member. All courses are taught in person on campus (no online instruction).</p> <p>Qualifications: The successful candidate must:</p> <ul> <li>have, at a minimum, a master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field. </li><li>be capable of teaching undergraduate statistics, precalculus, calculus, and math for liberal arts. </li><li>have excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Prior teaching experience is preferred. </li></ul> <p>TO APPLY:</p> <p>Applications should upload a cover letter, current resume and contact information of three professional references to JazzHR at: Visiting Assistant Professor (One-Year, Full Time Position/Mathematics) - Eastern CT State University - Career Page.
