<p>POSITION: Manufacturing Engineer - Automation & Assembly</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Engineer will have responsibility for Automation and Assembly initiatives and processes for all areas in Plant-3. The ideal candidate applies engineering expertise to problem solving manufacturing issues and delivering systems and processes designed to create greater efficiencies for the manufacturing environment.</p> <p>Job responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop Plans to Automate Existing Assembly and Component Processes </li><li>Support Operations and Trades with plant equipment issues. </li><li>Support product quality issues. </li><li>Develop and implement continuous improvement and cost savings. </li><li>Lead and support in the development, specification, validation, and installation of new equipment and retools in assigned areas. </li><li>Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage tooling budget as required. </li><li>Understand & lead safety/ergonomic requirements. </li><li>Communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders: Engineering, Trades and Operations </li><li>PFMEA Development and Support </li><li>Support plant quality and safety audits and supporting documentation. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.</p> <ul> <li>2 years' previous experience with Automation and Assembly equipment applications </li><li>Fanuc Robotic programing and application preferred. </li><li>Working knowledge of assembly manufacturing processes including pressing, fastening, fixturing, vision systems, data collection and tool design </li><li>Working knowledge of basic pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls </li><li>Knowledge and interest in process automation and robotics </li><li>High level of analytical skills </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills </li><li>Good computer skills </li><li>Knowledge of Problem-Solving Techniques (ie: Fast-X, Shainin, Six Sigma) </li></ul>
