Learn more about us at worcester.edu/about .</p> <p>Job Description: TITLE: Clerical Support DEPARTMENT : DGCE SUPERVISOR : Associate Dean of Online, Graduate and Continuing Education SCHEDULE: 15-18 hours a week (primarily 1:30 - 4:30pm but schedule may vary)</p> <p>General Statement of Duties: This position supports the DGCE front desk in serving students, faculty, parents and staff at the University. It involves in-person and phone customer service as well as the registration of students into courses and providing information about our program and division. This position will also provide support for dual enrollment/ early college programs including registration, roster management and other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Provides general office assistance for the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education which may include, but not be limited to: answering phone calls, composing emails/correspondence, registering students into classes, assisting faculty with contracts, ordering materials/supplies, maintaining databases, and managing inquiries. Provides outstanding customer service to current and prospective students and faculty. Assists with planning and coordinating ceremonies and events. Monitors DGCE general email. Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Online, Graduate and Continuing Education Demonstrates civility and professional, customer-service oriented behavior, worthy of emulation by other staff and students. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Requirements: Required Qualifications:</p> <p>At least 2-3 years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative experience Detail-oriented and organized with attention to accuracy Strong communications skills, both oral and written Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Proficient in use of databases Ability to perform duties above with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work independently and as a member of a team</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Previous work experience in higher education strongly preferred</p> <p>Additional Information: Worcester State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer which seeks to reflect the diversity of its community.</p> <p>This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position.</p> <p>Hourly rate: $20/ hour</p> <p>Application Instructions: Applicants must apply online at worcester.interviewexchange.com.
