<p>Position:</p> <p>ERP Functional Analyst</p> <p>ICTS Department</p> <p>The Role:</p> <p>Under the direction of the ICTS department, the ERP Functional Analyst will support and enhance the functional use of the PeopleSoft ERP system across Cambridge Public Schools. This role will serve as the primary liaison between end users and technical staff to ensure that ERP applications meet business needs and perform effectively. The Functional Analyst will work closely with Finance & Budget, Human Resources, Payroll, the City of Cambridge ERP team, and other key stakeholders to analyze, document, and improve business processes and system configurations. The role also includes project management responsibilities to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of ERP-related initiatives.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze and document business processes and requirements related to Finance, HR, and Payroll functions within the PeopleSoft ERP system. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements. </li><li>Serve as the functional subject matter expert for PeopleSoft modules; troubleshoot user-reported issues and coordinate resolution with technical staff. </li><li>Conduct functional testing of new features, patches, and upgrades to ensure accurate configuration and business process alignment. </li><li>Write and maintain detailed functional specifications, business process documents, and user guides. </li><li>Facilitate user acceptance testing and ensure successful system adoption and utilization. </li><li>Provide training and support to end users; develop job aids and training materials. </li><li>Manage CPS ERP-related projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, scheduling, status tracking, and delivery. </li><li>Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration and communication to ensure project goals and deadlines are met. </li><li>Develop and maintain project documentation such as project charters, schedules, meeting notes, and risk assessments. </li><li>Participate in project planning and contribute to business case development for ERP initiatives. </li><li>Work with City of Cambridge ERP and ICTS teams to ensure consistency, integration, and compliance with shared ERP standards and configurations. </li><li>Support data validation and reporting needs through collaboration with the ICTS data team. </li><li>Participate in regular meetings with HR, Finance, Payroll, and other departments to gather feedback and align ERP functionality with organizational needs. </li><li>Maintain awareness of PeopleSoft best practices, industry trends, and upcoming features. </li><li>Consult with third-party vendors regarding products, services, implementation, technical resources, and operations to provide appropriate levels of support. </li><li>Create and maintain data extracts and reports as needed and assigned. </li><li>As a member of the ICTS data team, assist with other school data projects as necessary. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the CIO. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience. </li><li>At least 3 years of experience working with enterprise systems in a functional analyst, business analyst, or project management capacity. </li><li>Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating technology or ERP-related projects. </li><li>Knowledge of PeopleSoft (v8.59 or higher) or similar ERP systems. </li><li>Understanding of business processes in Finance, HR, Payroll, or related functions. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements. </li><li>Ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Proficient in project planning and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar. </li><li>Proficient in creating documentation and delivering user training. </li><li>Comfortable working independently or as part of a cross-functional team. </li><li>Experience with SQL/SQR is a plus. </li><li>Prior experience in a public-school environment and familiarity with Aspen SIS is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment: This is a full time, year round non-union position reporting to the Chief Information Officer.</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with experience & qualifications</p> <p>How to Join Our Team:</p> <p>Please upload a resume and thoughtful cover letter, outlining how your skills and experience meet the qualifications of the position and stating how you heard about this opportunity.</p> <p>At the Cambridge Public Schools, we are committed to cultivating an environment where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are embraced, acknowledging that a team reflecting diversity of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital/domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, and veteran status allows us to serve our communities better.
