<p>Position Summary</p> <p>It is the Team Lead's responsibility to oversee/direct the activities of the tool room. Assists in planning, scheduling, manufacturing and rework of dies and tooling in order to support the manufacturing process. This is a 1st Shift position.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Tool Room Supervisor to direct activities of the 1st shift tool room employees. </li><li>Train less experienced tool makers. </li><li>Enters required data into the reporting system in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Ability to operate all tool room equipment with no supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements. </li><li>Ability to read all manufacturing and tooling prints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances. </li><li>Utilizes all tool room gaging equipment. </li><li>Performs preventative maintenance when required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years previous experience as Tool Maker in a manufacturing setting. </li><li>3-5 years in a Lead or similar type of role in a tool room setting. </li><li>Experience using a variety of manual machines to manufacture tooling, in the Fastener Industry is a plus. </li><li>Strong math skills. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blue prints. </li><li>Strong trouble shooting skills. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>HSD/GED or equivalent experience. </li></ul>
