<p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment and departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the Sanitation Procedures Manual.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for compliance with GMP's, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, steal toed boots and safety googles/face shield at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must become familiar with cleaning chemicals by name, function, and usage rate and become chemical certified.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience operating a pallet jack instead.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using a variety of equipment including a power washer.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 6 months of previous sanitation experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures a variety of instructions, diagrams or schedules.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
