<p>New Hires can expect a salary between $58,872 and $74,664, which will be based on related experience, education, and training.</p> <p>The Program Coordinator (Coordinator) works in the Office of Senate Education and Civic Engagement and assists with the planning and facilitation of programs to support the Massachusetts Senate's mission to promote civic education and engagement. The Coordinator, under the guidance of the Director, works closely with all 40 member offices, internal and external government agencies, and outside organizations on program logistics. The Coordinator reports to the Director of the Office of Senate Education and Civic Engagement.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Director in the preparation and presentation of the Senate's Citizens' Legislative Seminar. </li><li>Facilitate any requisite registration and follow-up processes with participants for the seminar. </li><li>Participate in the preparation and dissemination of seminar materials. </li><li>Provide support during the seminar, including conveying program materials to a diverse group of participants. </li><li>Support the 9-week summer educational seminar for legislative interns and fellows in conjunction with the House of Representatives. </li><li>Preparation of invitations and other materials, </li><li>Schedule presenters, coordinate "intern hosts", provide briefing materials as needed to presenters and interns. </li><li>Moderate seminar sessions as directed. </li><li>Support intern orientation sessions for students for the Senate Intern Program during the summer, fall, winter and spring terms. </li><li>Assist the Director with the collection of Senate intern trainings, applicable Senate forms, ethics forms, and dissemination of the intern handbook. </li><li>Assist with the design and implementation of the Student Government Day program. </li><li>Collect and disseminate materials to Senate offices for use in their districts. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties and Responsibilities May Include:</p> <ul> <li>Answer office phones and email, check the mail, receive visitors, greet visitors to the State House, and facilitate routine inter-office communications. </li><li>Coordinating other civic education projects. </li><li>Moderating sessions </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <ol> <li>One to two years of college or technical school and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or any of the following combinations of education and experience: </li></ol> <p>a. Bachelor's degree; or</p> <p>b.
