At CHLA, your work will help build brighter tomorrows for the children and families we serve.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Schedule: 7PM-7AM | 12 hours | 36 hours weekly</p> <p>Purpose Statement/Position Summary</p> <p>The Registered Nurse, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.</p> <p>Neonatal Intensive Critical Care Unit (NICCU): a level IV neonatal intensive care unit, that features 58 beds and serves as an international referral center with the majority of patients from the western United States. We provide a complete range of medical and surgical services for neonates with the most complex conditions. The unit's specialized programs include the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia Program, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized ventilatory support & home ventilation program, neonatal and infant diagnostic and follow-up services.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience</p> <p>1+ years' experience as an Level III NICCU RN required ; NICCU experience Level IV preferred</p> <p>Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment. Ability to assess effectiveness of patient care; maintain</p> <p>a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex patient care; communicate</p> <p>tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.</p> <p>Education/Licensure/Certification</p> <p>Associates Degree in Nursing</p> <p>BSN preferred</p> <p>Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California</p> <p>Current American Heart Association CPR certification.</p> <p>BLS/PALS required</p> <p>NRP Certification</p> <p>Pay Scale Information</p> <p>USD $104,395.00 - USD $171,506.00</p> <p>CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
