<p>Part Time Shoreham Transport Driver</p> <p>#30874</p> <p>Location: Shoreham, VT</p> <p>Company: Dairy Farmers of America</p> <p>Category: Driver</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>$1,000 Sign on Bonus Offered to Eligible Candidates</p> <p>General Purpose:</p> <p>Utilizing DFA tractor and trailer, to transport raw milk from depot to processing plant</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices </li><li>Following dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milk </li><li>Takes measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption </li><li>Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination. </li><li>Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level. </li><li>Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel </li><li>This is a part time position </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay </li><li>Eligible for Quarterly bonuses </li><li>Rotating Schedules </li><li>Return Home Daily </li><li>We are proud to offer access to your wages on-demand, no need to wait for pay day! </li><li>And more... </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Preferred </li><li>Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence. </li><li>Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement. </li><li>Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement) </li><li>In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school. </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>Must meet all DOT requirements. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing </li><li>Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) </li><li>Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement </li><li>Good organization and record keeping skills </li><li>Punctuality </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>$25-$28/Hour</p>
