<p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Ohio Department of Public Safety - Procurement</p> <p>Report in location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223</p> <p>Work Days and hours would vary between: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm depending on student's schedule.</p> <p>This is an ongoing internship located in Columbus, OH. The selected candidate will ideally be able to work throughout the school year and summer, for an average of 20 hours per week or less (with flexibility during the school semesters given class schedule and course load).</p> <p>The pay rate for a college intern is based upon the students' academic status:</p> <p>Undergraduate student rate of pay - $16.93 per hour</p> <p>Graduate student rate of pay - $20.59 per hour</p> <p>Major/field of study should be in:</p> <ul> <li>Business </li><li>Accounting </li><li>Finance </li><li>Economics </li><li>Supply Chain Management </li><li>Criminal Justice </li><li>Public Administration </li></ul> <p>Job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Supports agency's sourcing function by soliciting quotes, placing orders, & tracking order status. </li><li>Processes requisitions & purchase orders through OhioBuys. </li><li>Performs administrative functions. </li><li>Works with requestor to understand & scope need, including time & cost constraints of procurement engagement & other baseline expectations. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Employment Requirements (all must be verified upon hire)</p> <p>To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety, an applicant must:</p> <p>Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.</p> <p>Be in good standing with the college/university.</p> <p>Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.</p> <p>Be enrolled in at least one course.</p> <p>Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree.</p> <p>Job Skills: Internship</p> <p>Technical Skills: Administrative support/services, Clerical & Data Entry</p> <p>Professional Skills: Attention to Detail, Teamwork</p>
