<p>About the Job</p> <p>The position will work in the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, within the Department of Radiology. You will be working on MR spectroscopy in mouse models of creatine deficiency.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist PI with animal preparation for scanning (15%) </li><li>Assist PI with data acquisition on the 16.4T animal scanner (35%) </li><li>Process mouse MRS data (25%) </li><li>Perform statistical analysis of data (15%) </li><li>Manage communications with RAR for shipping mice to UMN and back to UCLA and quarantine (10%) </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in a STEM-related field, preferably in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or equivalent STEM degree </li><li>At least 2 years of research experience </li><li>Strong written and verbal communications skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Willingness to work with mice </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of MR spectroscopy </li><li>Experience working with mice in research </li><li>Good computer skills </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00; depending on education/qualifications/experience.</p> <p>Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
