<p>Job Description</p> <p>The Valuation team is a critical part of Antares, providing independent expertise and process oversight of the determination of fair value for financial instruments. This position can be located in our Chicago, New York, Atlanta or Los Angeles office.</p> <p>The Valuation Assistant Vice President's primary role will be developing and reviewing financial models, researching industry & market trends, and performing investment valuations. The AVP will also be actively involved in projects and technology initiatives to support a rapidly growing business. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail-orientated, inquisitive, and confident analyzing data and conveying conclusions.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in day-to-day team management including, but not limited to, deliverable tracking, valuation model reviews, third-party valuation firm coordination, and valuation proposal reporting </li><li>Lead the execution of valuation models in accordance with Antares's valuation policy. Review inputs, assumptions, and methodologies for consistency and accuracy with internal credit perspectives and broadly accepted valuation techniques </li><li>Review, reconcile, and challenge conclusions. Lead back-testing and stress-testing design and reporting </li><li>Coordinate activities and materials for the Antares Valuation Committee with a focus on identifying and presenting trends and performance drivers relevant to our business </li><li>Drive process enhancements and efficiency leveraging resources and technology. Advance transparency and reduce closing timelines </li><li>Act as a liaison for internal and external auditors. Manage inquiries and convey valuation policy and process rigor </li><li>Assist in the on-going training and development of analysts and associates </li><li>Collaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teams </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business </li><li>6+ years of related work experience in valuations, transaction services, a private credit fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles exhibiting an in-depth knowledge of key financial metrics, capital structures, and financial statements </li><li>Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions with a thorough understanding of ASC 820 and corresponding valuation guidance. </li><li>Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratch </li><li>Effective project management skills with an awareness of internal business controls </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to forge strong collaborative relationships with internal partners/stakeholders at all levels </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>CFA, FRM, CPA preferred </li><li>PowerBI, Python, R </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Financial statement analysis </li><li>Valuation Techniques: Discounted Cash Flows, Guideline Public Company, OPM </li><li>Data Analysis and Governance </li><li>Confident and persuasive communicator </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strategic thinking and decision making: Uses solid business knowledge and data to make logical decisions about complex day-to-day technical and operational problems, improves existing solutions, plans ahead, and ensures work reflects stakeholder needs and broader organizational impacts. </li><li>Drives execution and results: Creates plans within their area of responsibility and, in collaboration with others, executes and delivers on those plans in a timely manner. </li><li>Cultivates strategic relationships and influence: Develops trust-based relationships, uses situational awareness to align interests and communicates clearly. </li><li>Fosters an inclusive culture and leads teams to achieve excellence: Role models and contributes to an inclusive team culture, collaborates effectively with peers and across teams/functions, and drives strong performance through consensus building. </li><li>Masters oneself and demonstrates a growth mindset: Seeks feedback, adapts communication to build strong relationships, demonstrates credibility and courage, acts ethically and remains focused and resilient through shifting priorities. </li><li>Innovation: Raises new ideas, uses data to inform decisions and uses technological tools to improve workflows and efficiency. </li></ul> <p>The Fine Print</p> <ul> <li>Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. </li><li>Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check. </li><li>Must be willing to work from the [Location] office. </li></ul> <p>Antares is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
