<p>Summary/Objective</p> <p>The Website and Digital Services Manager, reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the college's web properties to ensure a stable, scalable, and high-performing digital experience for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Maintains and enhances the college's website infrastructure and uses information architecture principles to organize content logically for usability and searchability. </li><li>Collaborates with stakeholders and team members to produce and maintain clear, accurate, timely, and accessible digital content that aligns with organizational objectives, brand standards, and user needs; conducts quarterly content audits of the website and maintains a content calendar to maintain regular updates. </li><li>Conducts monthly accessibility audits and prioritizes remediation efforts to ensure digital content aligns with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards; ensures that newly created content meets these standards, and that existing content is systematically updated to achieve compliance. </li><li>Utilizes GA4 to monitor website performance and generate reports on content engagement, search visibility, and user interactions. </li><li>Develop web solutions to meet marketing needs such as landing pages, interactive forms, and campaign integrations (e.g. social media, email marketing, registration systems) </li><li>Serves as the web developer/designer for BobcatNET, the college's internal site and web-based application that assists students, faculty, and staff in their daily tasks/jobs. </li><li>Oversees the development and design of internal and external forms through college systems (e.g. Dynamic Forms, Formstack, Slate, Campus Groups). </li><li>Serves as the liaison with the college's website hosting and development firm. </li><li>Develops strong relationships with all departments across campus to carry out web technology projects. </li><li>Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices within the fields of marketing and communications and higher education. </li><li>Supports strategic institutional initiatives and goals through marketing and communications. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of SEO best practices as they relate to web development. </li><li>Familiarity with accessibility standards for content, including writing meaningful alt text and structuring documents for screen readers. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot basic CMS-related issues and work with web development and IT teams to optimize workflows. </li><li>Strong organizational skills to track content updates, audits, and compliance efforts. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like.</p> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work (or other times when the college is otherwise closed) may be required as job duties demand.</p> <p>Travel</p> <p>No travel is expected for this position.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, information technology, or a related field </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Two or more years of experience in web development, CMS migration, or maintaining digital infrastructure. </li><li>Knowledge of digital content formatting, including HTML basics, metadata structuring, and template use. </li><li>Higher education experience. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.</p>
