The Nursing Assistant performs patient care activities and other unit tasks as delegated by the Staff RN to support the interdisciplinary care team.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. </li><li>HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience </li><li>Associate's </li><li>OR Other: RN/LVN student </li><li>If RN or LVN student, must be enrolled in accredited School of Nursing/ Vocational Nursing and have completed 2 semesters of clinical experience if in RN program and 1 semester clinical experience if in Vocational program. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE</p> <ul> <li>CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant Upon Hire </li><li>BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:</p> <ul> <li>Six months of basic Medical / Surgical acute care experience or 2 semesters of clinical experience if enrolled in RN program or 1 semester if in Vocational program </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Basic Medical/Surgical nursing aide skills, </li><li>Basic competencies in the nursing process and pharmacology </li><li>Basic knowledge of adolescent, adult and geriatric population </li><li>Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and assist them in a resource capacity </li><li>Effective English written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Job Shift:</p> <p>Nights</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Part Time</p> <p>Shift Hours:</p> <p>8</p> <p>Days of the Week:</p> <p>Variable</p> <p>Weekend Requirements:</p> <p>Every other Weekend</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Unions:</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Position Status:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Weekly Hours:</p> <p>32</p> <p>Employee Status:</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.</p> <p>Pay Range is $28.55 to $35.86 / hour</p> <p>The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
