<p>Work Location: 9000 Town Center Parkway, Lakewood Ranch, Florida 34202</p> <p>Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm</p> <p>Expected Starting Salary Range: $65,118.41 - $84,653.94</p> <p>This classification performs professional duties related to grant administration and post-award duties for project management, grant performance tracking and reporting, and monitoring for grant compliance.</p> <p>Employment screenings, as outlined in the Personnel Policy, Rules, and Procedures Manual, will be conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Florida Laws. </p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>The work environment may include exposure to high noise levels while performing certain essential job functions. The position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position.</p> <p>Assignment: Grant Administration - Natural Resources</p> <p>The Grant Administrator supports the administration of grant-funded projects within the Natural Resources Department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of grant-related activities associated with environmental, restoration, and conservation initiatives.</p> <p>This position assists with monitoring grant compliance requirements, maintaining complete and audit-ready documentation, and supporting the preparation and submission of reports, reimbursement requests, and required deliverables. The Grant Administrator tracks project timelines, milestones, and deadlines, with an understanding of how environmental factors such as permitting requirements, seasonal constraints, and regulatory conditions may impact project schedules and performance.</p> <p>Working closely with Natural Resources staff, project managers, and subject matter experts, this role helps align grant requirements with field operations, restoration activities, and project implementation efforts. The position coordinates with fiscal staff to review expenditures for allowability, supports budget tracking, and assists with reimbursement processes to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.</p> <p>The Grant Administrator provides support in communications with funding agencies, including documentation, reporting, and submission of amendments or extensions as directed. The role may also assist in grant application development by gathering technical information, coordinating inputs from environmental staff, and supporting proposal preparation.</p> <p>Additionally, this position maintains internal tracking systems and contributes to process improvements that enhance efficiency, organization, and compliance across the grant lifecycle while supporting the successful delivery of Natural Resources projects.</p> <p>Tracks financial information regarding the budgets of active grants.</p> <p>Ensures compliance per local, state, and federal compliance.</p> <p>Prepares and submits reports on projects and reimbursement status.</p> <p>Enters the data and finances into relevant grant portals.</p> <p>Responsible for coordinating with appropriate staff all reporting requirements, responsibilities, and timeline for delivery of required reports.</p> <p>Aids grant-funded project managers, and senior management in compiling, maintaining, and analyzing of grants and project performance and in the development of corrective measures as required.</p> <p>Independently conducts grant analyses to assist staff and project managers.</p> <p>Responsible for submitting agreements and reports according to funder timelines.</p> <p>Prepares necessary information to support grant revisions, amendments, and closeouts.</p> <p>Researches and identifies potential problem areas, conducts appropriate analysis, and recommends potential solutions.</p> <p>Hold regular meetings with staff to review progress on contracted deliverables, spending, successes, and challenges, and to collaborate on strategies to mitigate barriers.</p> <p>Along with the grant project team, ensures full compliance of all their assigned grants with grantor, and, local, state, and, federal requirements, which is enforced through the Grant Supervisor.</p> <p>Meets grant contract requirements by preparing or facilitating accomplishment of program activities.</p> <p>Enter information into databases to generate adequate grant and project reports for executive management.</p> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned, including participation in emergency or disaster response activities, as required and consistent with the employee's qualifications, essential job functions, and appliable federal and Florida law. </p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Three (3) years' experience in a position related to proposal development, program management, compliance, contracts, auditing, operations, program support, transit, and/or administration.</p> <p>Experience with state grants, federal grants, or compliance required.</p> <p>Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications for this position.</p> <p>Bachelor's degree preferred in a field related to social science, environmental science, business, finance, English or public administration.</p> <p>Desired certification in Grants or Project Management.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of principles and practices of subaward, contract and grant administration.</p> <p>Knowledge of up to date/extensive Federal, State County funding sources and requirements.</p> <p>Ability to perform research and analyze data.</p> <p>Ability to communicate orally and in writing with clarity and conciseness.</p> <p>Ability to perform analytical work carefully and accurately.</p> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work.</p> <p>Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite.</p>
