<p>Description</p> <p>Position at Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc.</p> <p>Exceptional Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (ZERO DEDUCTIBLE MEDICAL PLAN AVAILABLE!) </li><li>Paid Vacation and Holidays </li><li>40(k) Employer Match </li><li>Company Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance </li><li>Company Paid Basic Life Insurance </li></ul> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operating and maintaining PVD coating machines as required </li><li>Minimizing equipment downtime through preventative maintenance procedures and machine repairs </li><li>Learn featuring techniques and orientation requirements for proper PVD processing </li><li>Inspect quality of parts after the PVD process </li><li>Verify oil levels, water temperature and gases flows </li><li>Adhere to and promote all company safety policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or its equivalent </li><li>Experience in vacuum coating a plus </li><li>Knowledge of PVD coating a plus </li><li>Strongly preferred candidates have previous experience operating metal grinding equipment </li><li>Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations </li><li>Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively </li><li>Ability to follow directions </li><li>1+ years of CNC Machining </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Well-lit and clean machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, and bending.
