Our mission is to Transform Radiology.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Midstate Radiology in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician to perform computed radiologic procedures to produce imaging using technology to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.</p> <p>POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to comprehend service requirements </li><li>Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. </li><li>Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. </li><li>Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. </li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of a radiology program at an accredited school </li><li>Current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT); State licensure where required </li><li>BCLS required </li><li>One to three years of radiology technologist experience preferred </li><li>Must be able to effectively respond to incidents of contrast reaction and extravasation </li></ul> <p>Radiology Partners is an equal-opportunity employer.
