Please refer to the Blain's Farm & Fleet position description for accurate pay range information.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex projects. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the overall architecture and strategic direction of our technology stack.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the Technical Lead contributing to and directing the efforts of the development team. (Daily) </li><li>Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the existing content supply portfolio of applications and services. (Weekly) </li><li>Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack. (Daily) </li><li>Lead the design and development of high-performance APIs that enable efficient communication between internal systems and external services. (Daily) </li><li>Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and scalable technical solutions. (Weekly) </li><li>Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages. (Monthly) </li><li>Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling. (Bi-weekly) </li><li>Mentor junior software developers for skill/knowledge development (Monthly) </li><li>Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes. (Monthly) </li><li>Work in close partnerships with cross-functional teams and management (Weekly) </li><li>Ability to read and speak English and communicate with customers and coworkers. </li><li>Ability to learn and perform all primary job functions within the adjustment period </li><li>Ability to function as a team member and work under specific work directions. </li><li>You must value a safe working environment and follow our safety guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of experience. </li><li>Excellent understanding of front-end technologies and platforms - JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn internal Blain software. </li><li>Excellent understanding of front-end technologies and platforms - JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 </li><li>JavaScript frameworks React JS & Redux, Angular, or Vue, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, Git, Xamarin.
