<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position requires advanced-level skills in geographic information systems (GIS) and related database technology and the ability to use these technologies to implement a comprehensive land management program. The tasks conducted by this position facilitate the Department's ability to communicate to the public about the location, use of, and access to the Department's public land holdings. In addition, this position facilitates IT project planning and project management for the Land Records System (LRS) and real estate program GIS applications.</p> <p>This position provides training and technical assistance to statewide real estate staff and property managers on the use and management of land records and association web mapping systems and geospatial data. The position is also responsible for creating reports for DNR management, the Natural Resource Board (NRB), the Governor, the Legislature, the media and requests by the public.</p> <p>For more information, please see the Position Description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting pay for this position is between $38.00 to $48.00 per hour (or $79,040 to $99,840 annually), in addition to excellent benefits. Environmental factors include working indoors in an office setting and independently traveling to offices around the state. For other physical and environmental requirements of the job, please see the position description linked in the Position Summary.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Please make sure to describe and provide detailed examples within your resume and/or letter of qualifications for EACH of the following qualifications you meet.</p> <p>Required qualifications include experience in ALL the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal) including managing file and enterprise geodatabases. </li><li>Experience developing and/or administering web mapping apps, map services, or feature services in AGO Experience Builder, VertiGIS Studio, or other ESRI platform software. </li><li>Experience creating and maintaining cadastral data, metadata, legal descriptions, Public Land Survey System (PLSS), technical documentation, and/or user guides. </li><li>Experience communicating in writing and verbally with technical and non-technical audiences, including management and the public. </li></ul> <p>In addition, preferred qualifications include any of the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Experience developing and managing GIS Oracle/ArcGIS Enterprise databases or similar GIS databases </li><li>Experience using scripting languages Python, SQL, or Arcade for GIS process improvement </li><li>Experience leading or coordinating IT/GIS projects (writing project charters, timelines, and engaging internal and external stakeholders). </li><li>Experience implementing Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures for both tabular and spatial data. </li><li>Experience managing public land records related to acquisitions, easements, and/or publicly owned land including DNR-owned lands. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>If viewing this posting on an external site (such as indeed.com, etc.), please visit Wisc.Jobs and search for this Job ID: 19455 to complete your application for this posting.
