<p>Job Summary</p> <p>As a Quality Control Technician at Arcosa Aggregates, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our materials. Your primary responsibility will be to sample and conduct testing on aggregates to ensure they conform to the appropriate standard test methods.</p> <p>Day to Day</p> <ul> <li>Actively promote safety </li><li>Your Primary responsibility will be to sample and conduct testing on aggregates to ensure compliance with State, local and customer specifications </li><li>Maintain a database in addition to testing, you will be responsible for documenting and reporting information </li><li>This requires you promptly and accurately complete testing and report your findings to your supervisor </li><li>Routinely monitor stockpiles for segregation and contamination </li><li>Perform daily inspections of the lab and equipment and maintenance as necessary </li><li>Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators </li><li>May be required to travel to other sites </li><li>Other duties or responsibilities as assigned </li></ul> <p>About You</p> <ul> <li>Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance </li><li>Have a positive attitude </li><li>Be detailed oriented and well organized </li><li>Self-motivated positively by working independently, however demonstrate eagerness to participate with being part of a team setting </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Be proficient in Microsoft office suite and relevant software packages </li><li>Can lift up to 80 pounds </li><li>Valid driver license </li><li>Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period </li><li>The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) </li><li>Basic math skills are vital for purposes of accuracy </li><li>Aggregate testing experience preferred but not required </li><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and physical environment</p> <p>While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <ul> <li>$21.05 - $28.31 per hour </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Arcosa is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
