<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Discipline Office Manager at Anderson Preparatory Academy is a multi-faceted and critical role. This position integrates direct student support in the Positive Academic Support System (PASS) classroom and rigorous attendance and discipline compliance. The Discipline Office Manager will manage detailed student records for attendance and behavior, and collaborate extensively with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a supportive, safe, and compliant learning environment for all cadets. This role also encompasses various vital administrative and logistical functions to support overall academy operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Discipline & Behavior Support (PASS Program Management): </li><li>Provide direct and active supervision for all students assigned to the PASS classroom. </li><li>Work with students during reflection periods to address behavior management and prevent undesirable behaviors that led to their PASS assignment. </li><li>Mentor students, offering guidance and support through various interventions. </li><li>Monitor student assignments, provide encouragement and feedback, and offer instructional assistance for tests and computer work within PASS. </li><li>Ensure all cadets in PASS have necessary computers and academic materials. </li><li>Oversee lunch periods for PASS cadets, ensuring meals are provided while maintaining appropriate separation from other peers. </li><li>Maintain a clean, orderly, and conducive learning environment within the PASS classroom. </li><li>Refer severe behavior problems occurring in PASS directly to the Dean of Discipline. </li><li>Assist in guardian and staff behavior meetings as discretion allows. </li><li>Attendance Management & Compliance: </li><li>Reconcile attendance records for all secondary entities, including in-person and virtual learning. </li><li>Retrieve messages from the attendance line and accurately enter appropriate codes into Skyward. </li><li>Proactively contact parents/guardians regarding attendance concerns and develop rapport for safe communication. </li><li>Collaborate with academic team regarding impact of attendance and student achievement. </li><li>Track and enter attendance-related offenses, referrals, and actions into the discipline tracking system. </li><li>Prepare, copy, mail and file corresponding attendance letters and notices. </li><li>Refer detentions stemming from attendance issues, prepare notices, and communicate with all involved parties. </li><li>Administrative & Documentation Support: </li><li>Accurately document all disciplinary incidents, interventions, and outcomes within the local documentation system. </li><li>Maintain organized and confidential records for both discipline and attendance. </li><li>Generate reports on disciplinary and attendance trends as required. </li><li>Collaboration & Professional Development: </li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and parents to support overall student well-being and academic achievement. </li><li>Participate in departmental, faculty, and school-wide meetings as required. </li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in health education, behavior management, and compliance. </li><li>Contribute positively to the culture and climate of Anderson Preparatory Academy. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in an educational setting, particularly with student supervision, behavior management, or attendance administration. </li><li>Strong understanding of adolescent development, relevant health issues, and effective behavior intervention strategies. </li><li>Proficiency in data entry and experience with database management. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively and positively with students, parents, staff, and external agencies. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information with discretion and professionalism. </li><li>Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace). </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive growth mindset in students. </li><li>Competitive salary schedule starting at $40,000 based upon years of experience (in education, military, or relevant work history) and education level </li><li>Health insurance through ICHRA which allows employees to choose the health plan and insurance company that best serves their family. </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision </li><li>$40k employer paid life insurance </li><li>TRF and/or 403b with 6% employer match </li><li>PTO and access to sick bank </li><li>Optional ancillary coverage and additional life insurance through Guardian </li><li>Weight room access </li><li>On-site daycare access </li></ul>
