SDI continues to push to be the industry leader and gold standard for corporate governance.</p> <p>The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an immediate opening for a Fabrication Foreman to oversee operations and projects for the Fabrication Department.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise employees and foster culture </li><li>Ensure accurate equipment tracking </li><li>Work with the team to identify and implement solutions for fabrication equipment repair and modifications </li><li>The work area includes automation, including robot welders </li><li>Hands-on supervision, ideally in heavy manufacturing </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Safety: Foremen are responsible for driving all components of "Take Control of Safety" to their teams (High Risk Exposures, PSIF Initiatives, PSIF/SIF Management, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Toolbox Talks (Safety Alerts and other safety discussions)</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure Assessments and Red Tap Challenges</p> </li><li> <p>Enforcing and coaching of Cardinal Life-saving Rules</p> </li><li> <p>Strong mechanical aptitude</p> </li><li> <p>Proven leadership and supervision skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent people skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong in math</p> </li><li> <p>Highly motivated</p> </li><li> <p>Strong self-starting abilities</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness</p> </li><li> <p>Computer skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.</p>
