<p>Location: Sharon, CT</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm</p> <p>Provides advanced level clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for physician practice operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates and schedules appointments and obtains authorizations for testing, referrals, surgical procedures, hospital procedures, hospital admissions. </li><li>Reconciles money and financial reports for daily office deposit. </li><li>Expected to be cross-trained and provide back-up for check in/out staff. </li><li>Coordinates and maintains physician schedules including, but not limited to, meetings, teaching, inpatient rounding. </li><li>Maintains and orders office supplies for efficiency of operation while ensuring budgetary controls. </li><li>Participates in the reengineering of workflows and process improvements throughout the practice to meet the requirements of programs such as Patient Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use. </li><li>Completes audits and assists with tracking and reporting of information as needed. </li><li>Acts as a super user for telephone and/or scheduling systems. </li><li>Presents a professional appearance and imagine. </li><li>Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. </li><li>Composes confidential correspondence, reports, memoranda, and related documents. </li><li>Schedules appointments and meetings. Makes necessary arrangements for meetings. Takes meeting minutes, as required. </li><li>Performs various receptionist and registration duties. </li><li>Compiles and analyzes basic information and prepares statistical data for reporting purposes. </li><li>Prepares presentation materials. Creates charts, graphs, tables, graphics, etc. </li><li>Maintains department supply and equipment inventory. </li><li>Performs research for special projects, as assigned. </li><li>Performs related duties, as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent, required. </li><li>0-1 year administrative experience, required. </li><li>1 year customer related experience required </li><li>Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required. </li><li>Ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively. </li><li>Additional Salary Detail </li></ul> <p>The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
