<p>POSITION: Parent Liaison (part-time)</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Shall be responsible to, and report directly to the Building Principal</p> <p>EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>A High School Diploma. </li><li>Must have dissemination skills for printing newsletters and other publications. </li><li>Must have good organizational skills. </li><li>Must be willing to work flexible hours and attend evening meetings. </li><li>Must have good communication skills. </li><li>Preference may be given to a parent of a child attending the school. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>15 to 18 hours per week.</p> <p>SALARY: $15.00 per hr.</p> <p>PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>To assist in the support and implementation of the District/Schoolbased goals of parent involvement. </li><li>To assist in the planning and implementation of meaningful programs and activities for parents. </li><li>To participate in the development and implementation of the schools USIP parent involvement goals and objectives. </li><li>To assume responsibility for maintaining records related to School/Family Compacts. </li><li>To assist in the development and dissemination of parent information which will increase parent knowledge of programs and activities within the school and district. </li><li>To attend a monthly parent liaison training/meeting. </li><li>Willing to work flexible hours and attend evening meetings. </li><li>To assist in the coordination and integration of parent involvement strategies with other city programs and agencies. </li><li>To make parent contacts when needed through letters, newsletters, phone conversations and home visits (when needed with social workers, nurses or teachers). </li><li>To work with parent/teachers to plan programs that increase parental participation in school activities. </li><li>To conduct needs/interest survey to identify subjects important to parents and their children to better plan workshops/activities. </li><li>To provide parent training to help parents help their children at home to improve their basic skills. </li><li>To help plan and organize a program of parent volunteers for the classroom at the school. </li><li>To perform such other tasks as may be required by the Title I Program. </li></ul>
