<p>Job Title: Private or Group Swim Lesson Instructor, Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA</p> <p>Description: The Y is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Part-time position instructing students in swimming and/or exercise fundamentals. Ensures proper techniques and use of equipment while providing a safe environment for learning. We teach classes ranging from Parent/Child through Adult.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and swim lesson instructor certifications are a plus. We also conduct in-house training. </li><li>Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards. </li><li>Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child. </li><li>Must be available to work flexible hours and be comfortable working with all ages and skill levels. </li><li>Minimum age 16. </li></ul> <p>Pay & Perks: $15-20/hour, depending on experience.</p> <p>Work location: Jim & Heather Gills YMCA - 3200 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712</p> <ul> <li>Level 2 background clearance and 10-panel drug screen required. </li></ul>
