<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The R.E.C. Connect Programming Lead provides leadership for the R.E.C. Connect program at IKUS Life Enrichment Services. The Programming Lead will facilitate, coordinate and support staff so that they may be successful in their job of assisting individuals with disabilities by enhancing quality programming that is beneficial to the individuals achieving their identified goals and is consistent with Recipient Rights, HIPAA and organizational procedures. The Programming Lead will foster positive relationships between staff, individuals, their families, and other community members. Model appropriate behavior to individuals served and to team members.</p> <p>Summary of Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Carry own caseload/shifts of approximately 32 hours weekly with the option to work more if interested </li><li>Work 4-5 shifts and/or provide transportation weekly as needed </li><li>Assist with weekend outings and events 1x per month as needed </li><li>Support the R.E.C. Connect Manager with the facilitation of activities for community groups that attend specialized program days and during service-learning days </li><li>Display, mentor, and model professional conduct, and a positive attitude with a team mentality </li><li>Work closely with the R.E.C. Connect Manager, volunteers, interns and/or fieldwork students to develop and implement activity schedules </li><li>Collaborate with R.E.C. Connect Manager to plan, coordinate, and facilitate 3-4 activities weekly </li><li>Maintain programming materials, assist with managing the budget, and enhance community engagement </li><li>Assist the R.E.C. Connect Manager in helping individuals develop life skills, increase independence, and improve quality of life, including direct care and transportation </li><li>Support the R.E.C. Connect Manager in new member onboarding and provide feedback to caregivers </li><li>Assist with planning and coordinating larger R.E.C. Connect community outings </li><li>Provide a safe and healthy environment by cleaning buildings and materials that are being used by mentors </li><li>Assist with providing input for evaluation of mentors including but not limited to recognizing and acknowledging exemplary performance as assigned </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Experience as a mentor or similar experience </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to thrive in a team environment </li><li>Problem solving skills </li><li>Be able to lift up to 50 lbs </li><li>Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record </li></ul> <p>Position Information:</p> <p>Job Type: Full time, hourly position</p> <p>Location: In person, some flexibility with administrative work</p> <p>Pay: $15.00 - 17.00/hour and additional state funded direct care wage increase of $3.40 when applicable.</p> <p>Reports to: REC Connect Manager</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul>
