<p>Requisition Number Stu486P Position Type Student Worker Department Department of Student Workers Job Title Student Worker - Editing and Publishing 2025-2026 Classification Student Worker Pay Rate Starting rate $11.00/hr</p> <p>Position Summary Information</p> <p>Hours per week 10 hrs/week Days Worked Mon-Fri and some weekends Hours/Shift worked Flexible</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>The Engage for Change and Made in Millersville Journals are seeking a student to join the editorial team and experience all aspects of running a digital journal in a collaborative team environment.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in publishing, editing, and marketing a digital journal </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li><li>Computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) </li><li>Evidence of efficient project and time management skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines </li><li>Ability to multi-task </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Organized and detail-oriented </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Creative, open-minded, and flexible </li><li>Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies to contribute to the journals </li><li>Willingness to take risks and experiment </li></ul> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Edit author's articles submitted to the journal </li><li>Take on a specialty role (marketing for the journal, outreach, web design, project manager for authors) </li><li>Contribute to journal's growth </li><li>Work approximately 10 hours/wk. </li><li>Have the opportunity to intern/work for two journals, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Effort</p> <ul> <li>Be able to sit and use a computer for the length of shift </li></ul> <p>Posting Open Date 04/01/2025 Posting Close Date 01/26/2026 Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Submit cover letter and resume.
