<p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in safety, occupational health, healthcare, risk management, or a related field, from an accredited institution, is preferred. </li><li>Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMT-P) with a minimum of two-years of field training and/or supervisory experience is preferred. </li><li>Two years of progressively responsible experience in safety, risk management, occupational health, or a related healthcare/EMS environment which may include working with a commercial insurance broker or in-house corporate insurance/risk management department, etc. </li><li>Experience supervising or leading staff, projects, or programs. </li><li>Experience and knowledge coordinating, supervising, or supporting workers' compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims in collaboration with risk management and/or insurance partners. </li><li>Possess and maintain current Oklahoma motor vehicle operator's license within company guidelines. </li><li>Certificate in OSHA 30 (or completed within 6 months of employment). </li><li>Working knowledge of Samsara fleet cameras and software, NinthBrain, TSI quantitative fit testing equipment and process, Incident Command Structure (ICS), and OSHA regulations is regarded favorably and highly desirable. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of the organization.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Position</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the implementation of organizational safety and risk management </li><li>Supervise and lead efforts in identifying, investigating, analyzing, and evaluating potential operational </li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain policies and SOPs to reduce risk and promote </li><li>Oversee and/or conduct training on safety procedures, SOPs, and safety best </li><li>Collaborate with Operations leadership and Clinical Education, and division Safety Coordinators to develop, implement and measure safety-related initiatives to enhance the organization's safety policies. </li><li>Collaborate with the Workers' Compensation Specialist to identify workplace injuries and trends, and patterns of injuries to identify ways to mitigate and prevent those situations in the future. </li><li>Analyze safety data and provide findings, recommendations, and reports to the Director of Risk and Occupational Health based on analysis of safety </li><li>Represent EMSA on a variety of committees or working groups with internal and external parties/agencies as </li><li>Supervise and oversee the work of Safety Coordinators; set clearly defined departmental goals and objectives; monitor performance and conduct performance evaluation of Safety Coordinators; handle disciplinary action or conflict resolution of Safety Coordinators. </li><li>Ensure compliance with Oklahoma guidelines, statutes, regulations and workplace safety standards as set forth by the Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health Administration (PEOSH) and any of its incorporation of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) guidelines, statutes, regulations and safety standards. </li><li>Support claims and incident management activities by receiving, verifying, and coordinating all aspects of all claims (e.g., reporting auto and general liability claims to insurance carriers, providing assistance to litigation attorneys as needed, monitoring claims for resolution and payment, and coordinating a database of claims, to include loss of use claims). </li></ul> <p>Punctuality and regular, predictable, reliable, consistent attendance is essential. Other essential functions include professionalism, the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), maintaining confidentiality, exercising sound judgment, being adaptable and flexible, following safety and compliance protocols, being accountable, complying with the Code of Conduct, organizational policies, procedures, practices, and expectations, and performing the core duties of the position either with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Other Functions of the Position</p> <p>Performs other job-related duties, functions, tasks and responsibilities as assigned, which may vary based on evolving organizational needs and priorities. These responsibilities are not considered essential functions of the position and may be modified or reassigned to accommodate individuals with disabilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as amended.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics</p> <ul> <li>A team-oriented, solutions driven mindset with the ability to mentor, and effectively lead a </li><li>Ability to communicate safety concepts clearly and provide training to diverse audiences. </li><li>Insurance claims </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to analyze safety data, develop KPI's, identify trends, and prepare reports or presentations. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership, supervision, and performance oversight for Safety Coordinators </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a frequent amount of time at a stationary desk, sitting for up to 8 hours per day, with frequent repeating motions that may include wrists, hands, and fingers. </li><li>Hearing and talking to interpret job functions are frequently required and frequent visual ability to judge distance and space and clarity up to 20 ft. </li><li>There is minimal hand tool operation and minimal ascending or descending ladders, ramps, or stairs. </li><li>Occasionally may need to lift pull or pull objects up to 50 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs. </li><li>Occasional walking and standing but minimal kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>The position primarily works in a temperature-controlled environment with occasional exposure to outside work and other situations of extreme temperatures and/or humidity. </li><li>Sometimes may be exposed to fumes, grease, or oil and may experience minimal poor ventilation or air circulation. </li><li>The noise level is frequently quiet with minimal exposure to moving mechanical parts/machines. </li></ul>
