<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Arlington, VA.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Senior Software Engineer will create designs, code, tests in-line with approved architecture and engineering processes and best practices </li><li>Manage availability, latency, scalability by engineering reliability into software and systems </li><li>As a Senior Software Engineer, you will identify and resolve production issues as needed </li><li>Respond to and resolve emergent problems; write software, build and deploy automation to prevent problem recurrence* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field </li><li>5-8 years of professional experience in software development with increasing responsibilities (developer, lead, ++) </li><li>Proven experience in implementing resiliency patterns such as retry, fallback, and circuit breaker </li><li>Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (EF) or other ORM tools for data access </li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, especially: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Redis Cache, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Key Vault, and Azure App Configuration </li><li>Experience in deploying and maintaining applications in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) </li><li>Proven knowledge of synchronous vs. asynchronous programming, async/await patterns, parallelism, and thread vs. task usage </li><li>Strong understanding of unit testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest, xUnit, NUnit) and ability to deliver highly testable and maintainable code </li><li>Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring in Azure DevOps or equivalent tools </li><li>Proficiency in applying design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Strategy, Repository, Dependency Injection) in real-world applications </li><li>Fluency in C# and deep expertise with .NET Core 6.0+ for building scalable, high-performance applications </li><li>Strong server-side development skills, particularly in multi-threaded, concurrent, and high-throughput environments </li></ul>
